Personal Injury

Hurt because someone else was careless?

An injury can upend your finances and your health at the same time, while an insurance company works to pay you as little as possible. You don't have to handle that alone, and you don't pay unless we recover for you.

If you were injured by another person's or company's negligence, Michigan law may entitle you to compensation, for medical bills, lost wages, pain, and the cost of getting your life back. The hard part is rarely whether you were wronged. It's proving it, valuing it, and standing up to an insurer that does this every day.

We handle that part: the insurance company, the paperwork, the deadlines, so you can focus on getting better. You'll get a straight answer about what your claim is worth and an attorney who deals with you directly, not a case number lost in a high-volume mill.

What we handle

Common injury claims.

01

Car & motorcycle accidents

Michigan's no-fault system is its own maze, PIP benefits, coordination, and the threshold to bring a claim against an at-fault driver. We help you work through both sides of it.

02

Slip, trip & fall

Injuries on someone else's property, ice, a hidden hazard, a poorly maintained space, where the owner failed to keep things reasonably safe.

03

Dog bites & animal attacks

Michigan law is often favorable to bite victims. Medical costs and scarring can be significant, especially for children.

04

Negligence & other injuries

When another party's carelessness causes you harm and they won't take responsibility, we evaluate whether you have a claim.

05

Wrongful death

When a family loses someone to another's negligence, we handle these matters with the care they require.

Fees

No fee unless we win.

Personal injury cases are handled on a contingency basis. You pay no attorney fee up front. The fee comes as an agreed percentage of what we recover, and only if we recover. If there's no recovery, you owe no attorney fee.

We'll go over the exact terms, and how case costs are handled, in writing before we begin. The consultation itself is always free.

This describes how contingency representation generally works and is not a promise about any specific case or outcome. Costs and fees are set out in a written agreement.

After an injury

Do this, and call sooner rather than later.

  1. Get medical care and follow through with it. Your health comes first, and the record matters.
  2. Keep everything, photos, names, the accident or police report, bills, and any insurance letters.
  3. Be careful with insurers. You are not required to give a recorded statement to the other side. Talk to a lawyer first.
  4. Mind the deadline. Injury claims have time limits, and some are short. The sooner you call, the more we can protect.
